Northwoods Bass Fishing Report – Mid and Late September, 2024
The fishing is HOT as of late. So hot (aside from 70's and 80's air temps) that from Tuesday of last week when it hit 86 in the afternoon thru Sunday the 22nd when it dropped to 55, the boat captured 5 new customer PB's and 17 fish were 20 inches and greater. In the moment, I didn't think this run was any special or extraordinary, but now that I am writing out this report for you to read and I can finally sit down in the office to reflect on last week's fishing, it was a damn good week.

Since my fall trips started, we’re exclusively fishing for big smallmouth bass only. Really no action fishing, and if the interest is in numbers September and October are the wrong months. Or this is not the right fishing service for you. These past few weeks, 10 to 15 fish days of mid-size to very large fish have been the usual result. Meanwhile, we also had some numbers of 20 to 30 fish days too.
