Northwoods Bass Fishing Report – Late May & Early June 2023
Due to my bad luck and continued boat blunders, I spent more time on land than on water this spring. It was excruciatingly brutal. The good news is, starting June 10th we are back in business. Despite this recent downtime and re-charge, I spent about a week fishing throughout the northwoods - on solo missions. Maybe this whole spring was a blessing. But all I know is things are finally looking up from here! As a result of the current heat wave, and rapid approach of the spawning season, fishing has been nothing short of spectacular. I reflect back on the week that I just had, and I am saddened it couldn't be enjoyed with my valued customers and friends as trip days. These were all fish I did not need to catch, or cared to catch. However, they were each a blessing and very therapeutic for me after enduring a very bad winter and spring. For the most part, May 2023 was outstanding for a number of you. During the downtime, I was receiving daily updates and stats from Ron Bacza and Barry Humiston of the damage they were each doing. Figures, the perfect spring happens when I am sitting on the couch at home !!! All good things come to an end, as you know. Heat
