Northwoods Bass Fishing Report – June 2024
Hi everyone, apologies for the delay in my monthly reports. I had hoped to get a few installments out for June, but with the fishing and most all conditions having been consistent and gradual all month there wasn't much of a difference in each week's fishing. Other than the unpredictability of each lake and its bass bites, June has been a very consistent month as a whole.
We recently completed nearly 3 weeks worth of trips.
First, thank you everyone who booked their dates, and worked hard with me to enjoy their awesome days. A few anglers weren't able to complete their trip dates due to a reluctance in fishing in rain, or very bad weather canceling those outings. Most completed smallmouth trips resulted in solid 20-40 fish days.
Smallmouth fishing has been good to above average. Nearly every trip this month was of high-action, high numbers, with many 17 to 19 inch caught and released. A total of 28 lakes were visited and fished over the course of these last three weeks too, and each waterbody had something unique in store for us whether it was locations, habitats, depths, strategies, and its fishability.
June is historically a month of numbers....
