Northwoods Bass Fishing Report – End of September, 2023
These last few weeks have been tough and challenging. We're not getting the cooldowns we need, and this is NOT what we had expected. This month has been the most difficult fishing we've had all year up to this point.
Despite the struggle, we'll still come out as winners and better educated anglers during the weeks ahead. Fishing is a learning experience each day. If you aren't learning something, then your game won't improve.
I am thankful that despite the lack of big fish this month, everybody ended their trip day as a winner and better educated angler. Some anglers achieved new PB's, while others learned new strategies and methods to approaching various lake locations. That's a win, no matter what.
As we are a non-livescoping boat and steward of the fisheries, we've been happy hitting 20+ fish each day and working hard for them. Achieving a 20 fish trip without livescoping technology on the boat is far more impressive than a 20 fish trip with livescoping on the boat. Unfortunately we are competing against this on a daily basis. I hate it so much. However, I'd also rather go fishless and get my ass kicked 99/100 times without it and be eager and happy to lea
