My Best Chatterbaits

March and April are Chatterbait-centric and dominant months for many of us who fish them. Z-Man’s extensive lineup of bladed jigs continues to evolve and proves to be an outstanding lure to catch big spring largemouths with.
Chatterbaits continue to grow and evolve into an intricate lure category and system of fishing. Whether the objectives center around pursuing trophies or numbers, chucking and grinding the water column with an assortment of Chatterbaits triggers success from all bass fisheries across America. Z-Man’s diverse lineup of Chatterbaits continue to prove themselves everywhere each
Since its invention during the early 2000s in a country South Carolina garage, the ChatterBait has never stopped working and evolving, enhancing every angler’s experience with each new version. Top Colors for Spring Largemouths

Colors are clique, and subjective to the largemouths of every lake type and fishery they inhabit. I’ve got my best colors that work universally, and I’ve also got my best colors that are specific to a fishery.
Because 2024 was impressive also for largemouth bass, the lures that caught our big fish deserved a story. My success is measured by the amount of 20-inchers we catch, and this year the boat captured 33 fish from 19 to 21.5 inches on each of the lures showcased here.

Feast on Fall Largemouths

Similar to spring, fall in the northwoods is short and condensed. Between summer and winter, we sometimes get only a week or two of transition time between the seasons. Feeding windows are also shorter and closing.

Searching for Slop

Whether guiding or leisure fishing, we’re always looking for the best available and most unique weed habitat and shallow cover differing from the rest of the fishery. Across many Wisconsin lake systems, some of our best summer season fishing locations are around impenetrable, heavily vegetated areas.
